And the debris slowly grew…

With all the construction, the contractors have made a huge pile of trash.  Bits of wood, miscellaneous empty boxes, plastic bags, and … a spare tire?  Hmm…not sure where that came from, but it managed to make its way onto the pile.  Our contractor was supposed to keep our site clean – do you think he’s doing a good job?  After several requests he is finally coming to clean up the mess this week, or so he says.  In the meantime it feels like all this debris is going to swallow our home.  Here’s a photo of what once was our driveway.  The debris makes a lovely addition to the outhouse in the back – don’t you think?

Why does it look like cotton candy?

The remodeling project is progressing – the insulation is up on the kitchen walls and the ceiling, and dry-wall is set to begin next week.  Our kitchen is starting to look like, well, at least some sort of a room.  A series of inspections have happened (and I’m told we passed), but more to come.  We’re still waiting on delivery for doors and windows, and kitchen fixtures will be confirmed next week.   The downstairs basement still has a ways to go, but little by little it too is coming along.  Its progress – not fast progress, but progress nonetheless.
